It’s hard to believe things could get worse on Sandbox Watch ’13, but there you have the visual proof. That tiny corner we saw on Tuesday is now completely covered in snow.
I am not even kidding.
I should have put the date stamp on so you believe me. This is why Minnesota has such a sketchy reputation. We have used all our designated school snow days and then some. Do you know what I mean by this Southern friends? They actually put days into our school calendar figuring they will have to call school off because of snow. Last year, I don’t think we used one of them. This year they had to add other vacation days back in because we used them all. Now we’ve gone beyond even that. The children are going to have to go to school until July. But it won’t matter because it will still be winter.
A lot of Christian sisters have been posting things on Facebook about being grateful in all circumstances. That is useful Biblical instruction.
And yet . . . the photos of a snowman being stabbed through his snow heart are the ones that make me chuckle.
It’s a righteous winter anger, I think.
Oh, you’re right. Probably not.
Okay . . . I am grateful for . . . not being sunburned.
